About us

Gianita BrinkmanDriving force behind Access Indonesia is Gianita Brinkman (1960), born and raised in Indonesia. She masters the language, is very familiar with local customs and is also very well versed in Indonesia’s general rules and regulations. Although Gianita moved to Holland when she was 19 years old, she returns to Indonesia several times a year. Switching from Indonesian to Dutch customs and vice versa, has therefore become a second nature.

History of experience with Indonesian Visa regulations
Gianita’s working experience goes a long way back: 3 Years with the Indonesian embassy in The Hague and subsequently 23 years with the Pelita Foundation, a Dutch government sponsored foundation aimed at the welfare of Dutch citizens with former Indonesian, war-related backgrounds. Within that foundation, since 2001 she was involved in the project “Repatriation settlements”. This was a co-project of the Dutch and Indonesian governments, facilitating 1st generation and former citizens of the Moluccas to return to their home land, Indonesia.
In 2004 she became the project co-ordinator to set up a Visa Service for Indonesia within the foundation. She then worked as the operational & product manager for this visa service where she acquired great expertise in the formalities surrounding living and working in Indonesia. In 2008 she started her own company, Access Indonesia.
